This is the obligatory “hello world” post. That phrase gives me flashbacks to when I was learning to program using C+, and our first lesson ended with those words on our monochrome monitors. I shudder at the thought.

I’m a graphic designer by profession, so my hobbies lean toward the visual arts. My goal with this site is to post images and descriptions of my art-related hobbies, and the process used to create them. I enjoy sharing my hobbies on social media, but those channels are inconvenient to post full descriptions of the work, are extremely difficult to index or organize, and they are segregated to users of that particular social media platform. This blog will give those posts a place to live on the internet that is far more accessible and searchable for the random internet traveller.

My hobby urges are irregular, so my posts will also be irregular. Don’t be surprised by waves of painted miniature wargaming models, digital art, vintage vinyl records, and ancient Greek reenacting garb – followed by months of silence. However, if those types of hobbies are your thing, you’re in the right place.
